With Christmas less than 10 days away, I want to share how to deck your Airstream hall (since there’s literally only one) this holiday season. 😂Like most things when living small — the decor is minimal but special nonetheless. We include three key staples to make our Airstream feel traditional at Christmas — stockings, a tree, and exterior lights!
Three Ways to Deck Your Airstream “Hall” for Christmas
I snagged these initial mini stockings last year at Target and while I couldn’t find the exact version, I linked a similar option here. Mini stockings are a fun and simple way to bring the cheer into an Airstream. We hang our stocking in the front, strung up by a ribbon, between the two upper cabinets. It’s the sweetest reminder that Christmas is here!
Tinsel or Brush Bottle Tree
We have a mini tinsel tree that is pre-lit for Christmas in the Airstream. Full disclosure, however, we put it in storage under our bed and didn’t quite get around to putting it out this year. But last year, we situated our tree on top of our wine holder that sits atop our table! Tabletop tinsel or brush bottle trees are another way to bring cheer into a tiny space this holiday season!
Finally, I love to see Christmas lights each December! I’ve seen so many Airstreamers sharing their exterior Christmas lights on Instagram this year and LOVE the way they look intertwined on the Zip Dee awning. While we use our Edison lights (seen here on our Instagram), next year, I may be convinced to do colorful (actual) Christmas lights instead. But as any fellow Airstream dweller knows — if something doesn’t have multiple uses, it’s typically not welcomed. 🎄
How do you bring the holiday season into your Airstream? While our decor aires on the traditional side, I’d love to know how you get creative in bringing cheer to your tiny space!
