Happy early Fourth of July! It feels so weird with the holiday falling in the middle of the week- like do we just take the day off or do we take an extra long weekend to really soak it in? I work from home so I am still trying to maneuver how that’ll work. I think I am just going to take Wednesday off… against my better judgement. ???? Regardless, whether celebrating tomorrow or through the weekend, I wanted to offer some outfit inspiration that you probably already have on hand (we all LOVE that)! Without further ado, let’s jump in.
Three Outfit Ideas for Independence Day
White Linen Dress
Everyone, and I mean everyone probably has some form of a white dress in their closet. This linen dress has been on repeat lately because #heatwave. Also, I wore this for a day of travel last month and it look me from the plane to a family luncheon with no problem at all. It wears well and even if it wrinkles, they aren’t noticeable (oh, and it’s under $50).
Pair your favorite white dress with a jean jacket and hit the barbecue, pool party, fireworks show or wherever your day takes you!
Jean Shorts + White T-Shirt
This combo is basically a uniform for me. So although not the most spirited, you can easily adorn some red, white and blue accessories for a fun day of fireworks. Take the subtle pairing and add a red or blue bandana to your pony tail for a fun and patriotic twist. There’s really nothing more American than a classic pair of jean shorts and a good old fashioned white t-shirt- right? Go with it and your patriotism will shine through your subtle pairing.
Highlight One Patriotic Element
Finally, keep in mind that you don’t need to go head to head #AMERICA to celebrate the day (although the land of the free is worth it)! Opt to incorporate one element- star studded espadrilles, the red lip you love or a fun bandana in your hair to celebrate our country’s independence. Even a dainty star necklace or starburst ring can do the trick.
You know your style and closet best! Luckily, these staples- one if not all- probably already live somewhere in your wardrobe. Go seek them out and have a safe and happy holiday!
