Let me preface this post by saying that Mack and I don’t really do Valentine’s Day. We will definitely go out to dinner but we don’t exchange gifts (refer to my budgeting post haha)! Valentine’s Day gifts for one another don’t usually make the cut but a fun dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant definitely does. But that doesn’t mean I can’t window shop for you all. If you’re a husband or boyfriend reading this (girl, forward it to him to end the guessing game), here are three tips to shop for your bae:

  1. Comfort Over Everything: Fantasy life may suggest that lingerie is the way to go but I am here to tell you that comfort trumps all. Seriously. Opt for this adorable sweatshirt and these slippers and she’ll be the happiest girl in the world.
  2. Champagne Anything: A bottle of champagne, champagne flavored gummy bears and even this champagne dog toy for her puppy (if she has one!) are appropriate options for Valentine’s Day. Plus if you consider her puppy, major brownie points!
  3. Pink Accessories: I am never one to suggest expensive gifts that can’t be put to use in daily life. However, these headphones are great for a workout in addition to this water bottle (Swell bottles are my favorite!). Also, I love personalized gifts like this monogrammed jewelry box (perfect for her vanity). Finally, totally unrelated, but this chapstick is LIFE. Add it to any of the above selections as a extra happy. Especially if she’s never tried the Sugar lip treatment before, she’s in for a treat.

With Valentine’s Day just a few weeks away, simply remember that if nothing else all any girl wants is to feel spoiled. So write her a sweet card, make her breakfast in bed or cook her dinner if you have to keep budget in mind. The best gifts are those given or made with love!

  1. Love the idea to take the time to handwrite your sweetheart a note on Valentine’s Day. Words from the heart are to be far more treasured, than any material gift. Great suggestion!

      Hello Heidi!
Thank you so much for reading! I love nothing more than a handwritten note from Mack- makes my whole day! I am glad you can relate to that too. ❤️
