New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite holidays! I love the “fresh start,” optimistic outlook and mostly, the new planner that comes with each new year! Going out on NYE used to be something I looked forward to for weeks- I would diligently plan my outfit and look forward to a night out on the town toasting champagne! Oh how times change haha… last year Mack and I were asleep by 10pm and abruptly woken up by the fireworks at midnight. I would be lying if I said I’d prefer to ring in the new year from anywhere but my couch, in my pajamas, with Mack and my puppies by my side- it’s the best and only way for me now!
However, Mack and I do like to go out to dinner (see, we do go out!) the evening of NYE which still makes outfit planning a must! Any excuse to get dressed up, even if just for dinner, is okay with me. Whether your going out to dinner with your husband or plan to stay up well into 2017 drinking champagne with your girlfriends, I’ve pulled a few outfits that are holiday appropriate, no matter what your plans!
First, this velvet dress is so feminine and coming to the blog on Friday! Here, I paired it with girly details for a pretty in pink look, balanced by the black velvet. For my fun girls, mini pompom earrings and a full sequin number are a great option. This dress is cute as is or would be perfect paired with a mock-neck bodysuit underneath and lined tights if the weather calls for layers. Finally, this fringe dress is to die for and offers a sleek look mixed with the 1920’s trend. I like it paired with a druzy details, a marble-like clutch and birdcage heels best. I adore all three of these looks and they accomplish the same purpose- a perfectly curated look for a night of toasting champs! I think Heather Dubrow would approve… don’t you think?
Style boards like this help to inspire me when selecting what to wear for an occasion! I hope it does the same for you! I can’t wait for you all to see the black velvet dress (my fav!), and how I styled it on Friday. Which look do you like best?
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy Monday!
