Can I just start by saying that sometimes I am so lazy while shopping and I don’t like to try on clothes. Some might find this shocking as I have a life and style blog! Like wouldn’t I just love to try on clothes all day? And the answer is yes but when I have a clear vision of what I am looking for and find exactly that. Which we all can agree is so hard to accomplish! However, after work a few weeks ago I wanted to check out a new locally owned boutique, The Dressing Room Boutique, and it was one of those days when I wasn’t looking for anything in particular but found pure gold!

There is nothing that excites me more than when I see something on the hanger and am obsessed with it. That is what happened with this black midi sweater dress! The shape and fit is TO DIE FOR! Also, my personal philosophy on curating my closet is that you can really never have to much black. I prefer it over any other color, but especially in these cooler months. Perfect for work, dinner with the girls, date night, church on Sunday morning… I mean there isn’t much that this sweater dress wouldn’t be a great option for. It also features a criss cross pattern which unintentionally creates a bodycon fit minus the bodycon look that my college self loved (embarrassing, I know)! The structure is tight and doesn’t feel like it will stretch out over time like most other sweater dresses. This is always a plus because quality over everything makes any piece worth while! If you live locally I would highly recommend checking out The Dress Room Boutique in the Market Shops. It’s a chic and clean atmosphere that features beautiful fixtures and design that perfectly display the clothing and accessories. And there are a number of other pieces I have my eye on!

Finally, my favorite blogger ever, Chronicles of Frivolity, posted this Sole Society calf hair clutch a few weeks ago and I had to get it. Much like the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots that I’ve been eyeing which I talk about here, I’ve been eyeing the Claire V. version of this clutch for sometime now. However, this option under $100, is just as perfect and I am so glad I snatched one before it sold out. I linked some similar options that are also so cute!

My Mom is here this weekend and I am so excited to have her in town! This is her first time seeing our new home and she’s our official first house guest. We don’t have any set plans but will definitely do some some shopping, eat out at our favorite restaurants in our new neighborhood and walk Rebel and Tiger three times a day (they are so spoiled by her)! I hope you have a great weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by today.
