Outfit Guide: Fall Wedding Weekend

Sep 30, 2016

Cut-Out Dress | Off the Shoulder Dress | Lace Dress | Maroon Dress | Olive Dress | Gray Dress

One of my college sorority sisters is getting married next month in Seaside, FL and I am so excited to see her get married! I am also so happy to see my college friends again. I feel like I talk about it a ton but I miss them all so much. Living in the sorority house my junior year at Ole Miss always reminds me of the most hilarious and best memories with my girlfriends. No one tells you that when you graduate you will not only have to work a 9-5 but that your friends will move all around the country and it will be so hard to coordinate schedules and get everyone together. I am telling you… don’t listen to your parents when they say you MUST graduate in four years haha (sorry Mom and Dad)! So, it’s very clear that I am so happy to reconnect with my long lost besties!

Anyways, I realized I haven’t done a post detailing attire to wear to every event that revolves around a wedding these days. From the welcome party to Sunday Brunch and everything in-between, girls gotta plan a lot of outfits. Personally, I usually stick with a simple LBD for the welcome party. This allows for versatility in plans after the welcome party such as dinner reservations or a continued cocktail hour at a new location. Of course, the wedding attire is more formal and dependent on the specified dress code. But, there are so many fall trends that I just love this season including texture and bell sleeves. This Bardot dress is simultaneously on trend but has a timeless feel due to the black lace detailing. Deep colors are always another great option when attending a wedding in the fall months… think maroon, olive, and gray tones. Finally, by the time you arrive at the Sunday brunch, if you’re anything like me, you will be tired. I oftentimes opt for a casual dress and a light jacket if need be.

I love that weddings have evolved into an entire weekend of coordinated events, at which, you get to spend time with family and friends! Attending weddings is one of my favorite things to do. I think it’s because all the memories come back from ours and it’s a great feeling. I hope that never stops!

Wishing you the best weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!
